An unforeseen incident occurred on March 23, in Kotayk Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reports.

At around 1pm that they, the police received a call from the National Center of Burns and Dermatology, informing that an ambulance staff had brought a child from an apartment in Byureghavan town to them for medical treatment. A total of 55 percent her body had severe burns as a result of falling in boiling water.

The police found out that the little girl taken to the aforesaid hospital is 2.5-year-old Kotayk resident Anna G., who had fallen into a bathing container filled with boiling water at their home on the same day around noon.

Doctors say the child is in critical condition.

Documents were drawn up in the police regarding this incident, and they were transferred to the Abovyan city investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

A forensic medical examination has been ordered.
