A protest in defense of political prisoners is taking place in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia.

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE), Marija Pejcinovic Buric, has arrived in Armenia. High-level meetings are planned, including with Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan.

The protesters claim that there are political prisoners in Armenia, and they demand from Buric to hold a discussion in the CoE on political prisoners in Armenia, and adopt a resolution demanding from Armenian authorities the release of all political prisoners.
