The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement assessing the agreement reached on 19 April 2024 by the Azerbaijani-Armenian Border Delimitation Commission.

"We welcome the agreement reached on 19 April 2024 by the Azerbaijani-Armenian Border Delimitation Commission to return to Azerbaijan four villages that have been under occupation for 30 years and to continue the delimitation works.

This positive development achieved as a result of direct negotiations is an important step towards signing a final peace agreement," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
