TBILISI. - Armenian President who is currently in Georgia on an official visit met Georgia’s parliament speaker Davit Bakradze and All-Georgian Patriarch Ilia II on Tuesday.

President Sargsyan and the speaker of Georgia’s parliament discussed questions concerning the deepening and strengthening of relations.

The sides agreed that inter-parliamentary relations must be deepened, the press office of the president informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The importance of the Armenian and Georgian churches in the life of the countries was stressed during the meeting with Ilia II.

President Serzh Sargsyan and Patriarch Ilia II stressed that the cultures of the two countries have always contributed to the fulfillment of one another.
