YEREVAN. – Ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP Edward Sharmazanov is elected Armenia’s Deputy Speaker.

Six MPs voted for another nominee, oppositional Heritage group MP Armen Martirosyan.

Before the end of the snap session, which was on the occasion of the elections for the Deputy Speaker’s office, Samvel Nikoyan, newly elected Speaker, invited Sharmazanov to have a seat at the Deputy Speaker’s place.
