In 2011 Russian Foreign Ministry managed to reach an understanding on several key aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, reads the Ministry’s report on 2011 major foreign policy events.  

The report mentions that meetings of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, with the participation of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, were held in Sochi (March) and Kazan (June) in the context of promotion peacekeeping mission in post-Soviet area.
