YEREVAN. – Armenia is the third state on the number of visitors to Georgia last year. According to the Georgian National Agency statistics, 699,391 Armenians visited Georgia last year, a 28% increase as compared to 2010.
Turkey is the first with 738,136 people (a 38% increase), Azerbaijan is the second with 714, 427 people (a 43% increase).
In general, number of the tourists increased by 39%, making 2, 820 million people, Novosti Gruziya reports.
Besides, number of Russian tourists increased by 63%, making 278,501 people despite suspended diplomatic relations between the states.
