French Senate has not approved a proposal to send the bill criminalizing genocide for expertise in the Commission on Constitutional Laws.

Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that about an hour ago Senate also refused a proposal to recognize the bill criminalizing genocide unreasonable, and to approve proposal to reject genocide bill. The proposal was initiated by the Rapparteur from Commission on Law Jean Pierre Sueur. However, the Communist and Socialist parliamentary groups opposed the proposal on inadmissibility of the bill before the voting.
