MOSCOW. – Those who immigrate to Russia will now have to take a Russian-language proficiency test, PM Vladimir Putin stated during the session of the country’s Federal Migration Service.  

Director of the Service, Konstantin Romodanovsky, supported Putin’s proposal. In his words, the knowledge of Russian is simply a necessity for the immigrants, and, in the first place, so that no problems would arise when communicating with the Russians, “Vesti” news program of Russia informs.
