Armenian ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetyan visited Malta on January 25-28 to present his credentials to President of Malta George Abela.

During the first day of the visit Ruben Karapetyan presented his credentials to Malta’s Permanent Secretary, Ambassador John Paul Grech and discussed Armenian-Maltese cooperation, MFA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

On January 26 the official ceremony of giving credentials took place in the palace of Malta’s President followed by the meeting of Ruben Karapetyan and Malta’s President George Abela.

Abela welcomed the Armenian ambassador’s appointment to Malta expressing hope that it will contribute to further cooperation between the two countries.

The Armenian ambassador invited Malta’s president to visit Armenia.

During his visit Ruben Karapetyan also met the local Armenian community (200-250 members).
