Fiji people held traditional meeting ceremony for Russian FM Sergei Lavrov wearing him a local dress and treating him with local juice just as any honorable guest is treated.

The FM had on bright-blue shirt with white patterns and ornaments. The ceremony participants performed traditional songs for 40 minutes welcoming the guest. Afterwards, he was given a ritual bowl of kawakawa juice, wide-spread in Melanesia. 

The Minister thanked them for ‘colorful ritual,’ Metro reports.

Russia and Fiji will discuss non-visa relations.
