“If Armenian youth attempt to enter a [Persian] club, they will be met by a horrific figure with a Persian exterior look. To our question as to why the Armenians are not allowed admission there, Nice Club’s deejay responded: ‘We do not allow admission for young Armenian men, but if a girl came in, she would be admitted.’ [But] It is highly unlikely that any self-respecting Armenian girl would decide to go to a Persian club on her own. And the one who does not respect herself would hardly agree to pay 5,000 drams [approx. US$ 13] for admission fee. Is it not more logical [therefore] that the girls’ admission is allowed for the simple reason that the Iranians would be able to visit the club with their Armenian ‘girlfriends?’”, Iravunk writes.
