Turkey demands NATO to install anti-missile defense base in its territory

Turkey demanded that anti-missile defense bases were installed in its territory, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen told in the interview with NTV correspondent. 

Rasmussen stated that Russia’s neighbor Turkey had a great role in cold war years and preserves the role up to now having supported the NATO actions in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Libya.

The NATO head stressed that NATO Land Force Command will be installed in the place of former NATO military base in Izmir, Turkey.
