YEREVAN.- The inter-parliamentary committee on cooperation between Armenia and Belarus discussed energy cooperation during its Monday session.

The co-chairs of the committee – Hrayr Karapetyan and Viktor Guminskiy - expressed readiness to make cooperation more effective using the capabilities of the inter-parliamentary committee.

The Armenian lawmakers briefed Belarusian colleagues on Armenia’s experience in the field of atomic energy, reforms and programs.

The Armenian side presented the technical capabilities of the Armenian NPP, investment policy and technical re-equipment to provide nuclear power plant’s safety. They also stressed necessity of cooperation with IAEA.
