YEREVAN. – Armenian citizens can receive “gold” license plates (being of great demand) without an auction, Armenian deputy Chief of Police Arthur Osikyan said at a government session on Thursday submitting a draft decision to the government.
The “gold” license plates of vehicles in Armenia have been auctioned since 2006. Under the governmental decision, fixed charges are set for the ‘gold’ numbers instead of an action. The money will be transferred to the police non-budget account.
There is a fixed charge for desirable plates $95. Whereas the fixed charge for “gold” plates starts from $158 up to $12,810.
