YEREVAN. – Armenian opposition Heritage Party’s parliamentary faction introduced a bill, and it motioned the Government to condemn the genocide committed in the Ottoman Empire against the Pontus Greeks, Assyrians, and other nations. In addition, the faction proposed that May 19 be declared remembrance day in Armenia.

And the Government of Armenia on Thursday publicized its conclusion with respect to this bill. So, according to the Government, the expression “the genocide of other nations” is vague, and it can give rise to doubts and misunderstandings. The Government will give its conclusion solely after when this matter is clarified.
