YEREVAN. – Former MP Jonik Abrahamyan—who is the brother of Hovik Abrahamyan, former Parliament Speaker and current chief of the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Campaign Headquarters—paid a visit to President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday, Hraparak daily writes.   

“It is known that Jonik Abrahamyan wishes to be nominated [MP candidate]. President Sargsyan does not want to bring his brother, Alexander Sargsyan, to the Parliament, and he would like for this principle to likewise spread onto Hovik Abrahamyan, who will become MP with RPA list. Perhaps this was the nature of the conversation that took place with Serzh Sargsyan,” Hraparak writes.
