YEREVAN. – Armenia’s state budget revenue increased by 3 percent, in January 2012, and comprised US$ 151 million, Finance Ministry official Gayane Zargaryan informed reporters on Monday.  

Total tax, tariff, and social payments made up AMD 55.4 billion, which were primarily conditioned on the value added tax.

The revenue growth was at 4.6 percent. By and large, the tax payments—except for income tax—likewise increased.

The budget spending was close to $96 million in January 2012, and the expenditures grew by 0.7 percent as compared with January 2011. The main expenditures were current, comprising AMD 36.4 billion, and they increased by 3.5 percent.

In line with the current exchange rate, US$ 1 is equivalent to approximately AMD 389.
