YEREVAN. – Armenia’s political parties, including the radical opposition block, the Armenian National Congress (ANC), were not in a hurry to be registered—or to reveal their proportional election lists—on Monday, the first day for nominating candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections. But according to the information, ANC’s list already prepared, Hraparak daily writes.

“We were able to ascertain the top six [names] on the list. The first three spots were already known: [ANC leader and Armenia’s First President] Levon Ter-Petrosyan, [People’s Party of Armenia] PPA leader Stepan Demirchyan, [and] Republic Party leader Aram Sargsyan. In all likelihood, the fourth place in the list will be given to [Armenian National Movement] ANM Party Chairman Aram Manukyan, [and] the fifth will be ANC Coordinator Levon Zurabyan. And as expected, the list’s first lady is [Social-Democratic Hnchakyan Party] SDHP Chairwoman Lyudmila Sargsyan, who will be in the sixth spot,” Hraparak writes.
