PM discusses IT development prospects in Armenia

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan and board members of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises examined, during a working breakfast on Friday morning, the prospects for developing Armenia’s IT sector.   

It was specifically noted that the country’s Information Technology sector is growing at a fairly rapid pace, that a variety of international IT companies are entering Armenia’s market, and there is a serious demand for workforce in this domain, the Government Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The parties also discussed matters concerning personnel training, developing the IT sector in Armenia’s regions, engaging the Information Technology companies in enhancing Armenia’s military industry, and the carrying out of IT events scheduled for 2012.
