YEREVAN. – The ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) members, together with President and RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan, on Sunday examined the composition of the future Government, Zhoghovurd daily writes, referring to its well-informed sources.

“Sargsyan noted that, after the [upcoming National Assembly (NA)] elections, considerable changes will be in need in the future Government. This notwithstanding, according to the preliminary version, PM Tigran Sargsyan will still maintain his post.

Our sources say the RPA is discontent with Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan’s activities, and that is why they decided to appoint him ambassador to any country in the future.

It was deemed necessary that Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan will replace their ministerial portfolio with the deputy’s mandate.

It is noteworthy that RPA also discussed [the coalition’s Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party] RLP Deputy Chairman, Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan’s future. According to Zhoghovurd’s information, he will be appointed newly-formed Minister of Internal Affairs.

We attempted to clarify this information from RPA Spokesperson [and NA Deputy Speaker] Eduard Sharmazanov, who, in essence, did not deny the news, and said they will design the future Government’s programs after the elections,” Zhoghovurd writes.
