YEREVAN. – In recent times, the banks in Armenia have begun requiring from their clients confirmation that they do not possess a US Green Card, citizenship and residency status, and that they were not born in the US, Hraparak daily reported.

“Because the US has signed an agreement with all countries that wherever there are [US] dollar accounts, and those people who have those ‘initials’ shall be taxed according to the US law. 

“Is this especially with regard to the post-Soviet countries? ‘No, it’s just that the US not only pursues its own interests, but ‘follows’ the dollar’s movement around the world.’    

“So that the monopoly of controllable chaos and ‘color revolutions’ does not pass to others? ‘I can’t answer,’ said a bank official,” Hraparak wrote.
