YEREVAN. – The Blackstars Energy Armenia company will prospect oil and natural gas in the areas of Armenia’s Lake Sevan, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“At present, the company’s oil and gas geological study bid is undergoing an expertise at the Ministry of Nature Protection.

“Since Armenia borders Iran and Azerbaijan, which have rich oil and gas reserves, the experts at Blackstars Energy Armenia are almost certain that there may be reserves in our country, too, and in Sevan, in particular,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
