YEREVAN. – The well-informed sources of Zhoghovurd daily have informed that executive director of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) Company, Yevgeny Bibin, has written a “secret” letter to chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), Robert Nazaryan, reported the daily.
“[In the letter,] Bibin warned Nazaryan that if the price of electricity increases by [a mere] 6.93 drams [per cubic meter], we may not have uninterrupted electricity in Armenia.
“Moreover, the ENA director general informed that if the PSRC decides to increase [the price of electricity in the country] by just 6.93, their company will petition to this commission, ‘to discuss the possibility of carrying out licensed activity.’
“In other words, the ENA is threatening to suspend activity of the [electric] power supply system [of Armenia],” Zhoghovurd wrote.
