YEREVAN. – The matter of at what level and who from Armenia will—or will they even—attend the funeral of American Armenian billionaire Kirk Kerkorian will be discussed Thursday evening, at the executive board meeting of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“RPA NA [i.e. National Assembly] Faction Head, RPA Executive [Board] member Vahram Baghdasaryan announced this yesterday [i.e. Wednesday], speaking with our correspondent.

“The California Courier [English-language Armenian weekly] newspaper publisher and editor, Harut Sassounian, [however,] told Armenpress [news agency of Armenia] yesterday that it cannot be ruled out that the funeral of the prominent Armenian philanthropist will be ‘closed.’  

“At any rate, until yesterday, no information and details were known regarding Kerkorian’s funeral. It all depends on what Kerkorian wrote in his will, [and] how he wants to be buried,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
