YEREVAN. – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry will arrive in the Republic of Armenia (RA) in March-April, according to Haykakan Zhamanak daily.
“Yesterday [i.e. Wednesday], Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms [of Armenia], Suren Karayan, informed the Haykakan Zhamanak correspondent that the next session of the intergovernmental council of the Eurasian Economic Union [(EEU)] will be held in the RA.
‘“According to the preliminary arrangement, the session will take place in the months of March-April. Now, the specific period of the session is being coordinated with the prime ministers of the member countries,’ said Karayan.
“Medvedev will come to Armenia at a time when [Armenia’s former PM] Tigran Sargsyan, to whom Medvedev had made quite generous and warm words the other day, is the [new] EEU Prime Minister,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
The EEU comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
