YEREVAN. – The gasoline prices have increased again in the Republic of Armenia (RA), Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.
“The gasoline [price] hike, surely, will be presented as a consequence of the oil price’s slight increase in world market; but this cannot be substantiation.
“In the past, RA [State] Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition Chairman Artak Shaboyan, ‘explaining’ why the sharp drop in [world] oil prices does not lead to cheaper gasoline in Armenia, was stating that the impact of oil price change on the price of gasoline is very small.
“[But] now, Shaboyan needs to substantiate why the oil [price] hike so quickly leads to an increase of the price of gasoline [in Armenia],” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
