YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, is soon to leave for US to attend the Nuclear Security Summit, according to Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“Diplomatic circles inform that the OSCE Minsk Group [(MG)] co-chairing countries, primarily the US, spare no effort to set up a Sargsyan-[Azerbaijan President Ilham] Aliyev meeting during the summit. The Azerbaijani party already has officially said that Aliyev will participate in the summit anticipated in the US.

“The [peace] negotiations on NK [i.e. Nagorno-Karabakh] are at a deadlock at this phase. [And] the Turkish side is continuing the efforts toward changing the MG format,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
