The daily held an interview with Commander of Arabo detachment Manvel Yeghiazaryan.  Asked about his stance on ceding territories, Yeghiazaryan replied: “I will answer like a simple soldier. I am for the slogan “not an inch of land”. As the post-war situation dictates us democracy, we should be indulgent and tolerant to loose the knot. However, we should not go against us.”

“A compromise is possible on condition that Karabakh’s status should be determined, in case the status of Lachin, Кarvachar and Zangilan is determined. Talks on these issues should not be conducted. All this should be achieved through skillful diplomacy to avoid war. I am not saying so because I am afraid of war. If the war starts, I will first enter the trench, but this scenario is undesirable,” he stressed.
