YEREVAN. – The Civilitas Foundation held a protest march and a demonstration on Friday in defense of the Foundation founder, former FM, and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP Vartan Oskanian. The foundation’s staff members marched toward the building of the Prosecutor General’s Office, where they publicized their letter of demand, Hayots Ashkharh daily reports.    

“Many thought that Oskanian’s dear party likewise would take an active part in the protest, but no one from the PAP attended the protest.

This fact may not have been considered bizarre, if, weeks ago, we would not have seen, in front of the very same building of the Prosecutor General’s Office, PAP MP Elinar Vardanyan, who was participating—with great enthusiasm—in the protest in defense of [the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress] ANC’s ‘political prisoners,’” Hayots Ashkharh writes.
