YEREVAN. – Reflecting on Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan’s criticism toward the “Compatriots” program conducted by the Russian Federation’s (RF) migration services, Washington-based Russian political scientist Sergey Markedonov told Aravot daily as follows:  

“I believe this matter does not depend much on the policy of the “Compatriots” program conducted by the RF migration services. People go to a place where it is more convenient and beneficial for them to live. If RF is more beneficial for the people, [if] they live richer in RF, in that case you cannot keep them away from that step by any protocol, any declaration.      

So, it does not matter so much as to what the RF policy is within the framework of the “Compatriots” program.”
