YEREVAN. – The climate has become somewhat tense at the ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction, Zhoghovurd writes.

“The reason is that, at the end of the week, NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan will head to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay on an official visit, and numerous MPs want to travel with him.  

“Zhoghovurd has learned that a heated ‘competition’ has started especially among the women of the faction, since [RPA NA women members] Karine Achemyan and Margarita Yesayan are always among the members of the [traveling NA] delegation. 

“[But] the [other RPA NA Faction member] women have made Abrahamyan ‘understand’ that this is not fair, and the composition [of the delegation] should be changed this time.

“Presumably, this time they have reached their objective,” Zhoghovurd writes.
