YEREVAN. – One month ago, PM Tigran Sargsyan announced that Armenia has an opportunity to apply to the Millennium Challenge program, 168 Zham daily reports.   

“We have learned that the Millennium Challenge Corporation [MCC] has made its choice. South African nation of Lesotho will receive [MCC] assistance. 

“This year Lesotho successfully completed the previous five-year program worth $363 million.

“The MCC Board also decided to provide assistance for the second time and to renew agreements with [the African nations of] Ghana, Liberia, Morocco, Nigeria and Tanzania, to continue the development projects in these countries

“[But] Armenia’s name is not even mentioned in the MCC statement,” 168 Zham writes.
