YEREVAN. – The opening ceremony of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games, which kicked off on February 7 in Sochi, Russia, was held at the level of participation by the highest state officials, Chorrord Ishkhanutyun (CI) daily reports.

“CI has learned that Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan will represent official Armenia at the closing ceremony of the games.         

“[But] it remains a guess as to the mood in which Tigran Sargsyan will attend the ceremonial events that will be organized on that occasion. 

“To recall, the next four-day [session] of the Armenian NA [i.e., National Assembly] will kick of on February 24 [that is, one day after the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics], during which the ANC [i.e., the opposition Armenian National Congress] and the PAP [i.e., the non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party] [NA] factions are preparing to call for the impeachment of the PM,” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun writes.
