YEREVAN. – The exchange rate instability in Armenia in recent times has caused many to make various interpretations, Irates De Facto newspaper reports.

“According to our sources, the inflation of the [US] dollar and the devaluation of the [Armenian] dram will still cause concern.

“Experts claim that [Armenia’s Russian-led] Customs Union accession will turn the dram into ‘coins;’ but converting the savings into [Russian] rubles is not correct, either.

“What to do so as not to face a dilemma? Our interlocutor, who is skilled in the ‘business’ of foreign currencies, said:

“‘Keep the savings in [US] dollars! Your savings will be safer, and your losses, less. Is there normal gold in Armenia so you may trust it? The dollar is and will be the best way,’” Irates De Facto writes.
