YEREVAN. – The authorities have increased Armenia’s state debt by more than 2.2 million dollars in one month, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“According to the Armenian National Statistical Service data, in the case when Armenia’s state debt was 4,588,000 dollars as of December 31, 2013, it has become 4,590,000 dollars on January 1 of this year.

“The government’s external debt—3.4 billion dollars—and the Central Bank’s [debt]—505 million dollars—is especially large,” Zhoghovurd writes.
