YEREVAN. – Automobiles in Russia were not natural gas-operated until recently, Hraparak daily reports.

“[But] about two months ago, the Russian authorities permitted to use such a practice, which has ‘old traditions’ in Armenia.

“According to our information, the most ‘tasty’ slice [in this new practice in Russia] has been given to the Armenians; to Moscow-based businessman, Forbes [magazine] billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, who received permission to build ‘natural gas stations.’

“According to some reports, [Armenia National Assembly Speaker] Hovik Abrahamyan likewise is participating in this business. His son Argam, who is a postgraduate student and will defend his dissertation in a foreseeable future, manages Abrahamyan’s affairs in Russia,” Hraparak writes.
