YEREVAN. – Ihor Roman, an advisor at the Ukrainian Embassy in Yerevan, stated last week that Ukraine’s Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Kukhta, who had left for Kyiv for consultations, would return to Yerevan this week and continue his work, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“But, as it turns out, the ambassador’s return is doubtful ever since when Armenia voted ‘against,’ at the UN General Assembly on March 27, the resolution on declaring illegitimate the referendum that was held on March 16 in Crimea.

“Ihor Roman himself informed this to us noting, however, that he cannot give additional information, since he has no instructions from [official] Kyiv to provide any new information.

“‘At this point I have no information about the ambassador’s return,’ the Embassy employee said,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
