YEREVAN. – US President Barack Obama stated in Poland that defending its allies in Europe is the sacred duty of the US, Zhamanak daily reported.

“Obama will travel to several countries in Europe; his visit to France, where [Russian President Vladimir] Putin likewise will be there, will be of key importance.

“And if the US considers it its ‘sacred duty’ to defend its European allies, Armenia’s ‘Eurasian allies’ [especially, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, on the other hand,] seem to be considering their ‘sacred duty’ to regularly humiliate Armenia and violate Armenia’s interests.

“And the more the international situation becomes tense, or complicated, that much more new challenges arise before Armenia, [and] dictated by the ‘allies’ themselves.

“Obama’s visit to Europe may more or less outline what will happen with Armenia in the future, and what new blows Russia can strike to [official] Yerevan,” Zhamanak wrote.
