YEREVAN. – “If there is an attack on Armenia from Nakhichevan, at that time the Russians will make their moves.” Chief of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov told this to Zhamanak daily, the latter reported.

“Reflecting on the shots fired from Nakhichevan to Armenia, he said that such shots were not fired in Nakhichevan [in Azerbaijan] alone; they were [fired from] everywhere, since Armenia is in a fight with Azerbaijan.

“To our query [as to] how the RF [Russian Federation] assists Armenia as [its] military partner and security guarantor, he responded that it helps us [Armenia] and very well, with everything. ‘The Russians are friends, and they are good, normal friends,’” Zhamanak wrote.
