YEREVAN. – The US has transferred to the Armenia MFA the agrément approving ex-PM Tigran Sargsyan being accredited Armenia’s ambassador to US, Hraparak daily reported.   

“And it was expected yesterday [Tuesday] that [President] Serzh Sargsyan would sign a decree appointing him [Tigran Sargsyan] ambassador to US.  

“Even though, as a pattern, the US provides an agrément in a very long stretch [of time], this time this happened surprisingly fast.  

“Incidentally, Tigran Sargsyan already has left the governmental summer home and he lives in his apartment, but he continues to meet with Serzh Sargsyan because, as Serzh Sargsyan said in a closed meeting with journalists, ‘they remain good friends,’” Hraparak wrote.
