YEREVAN. – We still fail to reach agreement on French President François Hollande’s proposal to set up a talk between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, Haykakan Zhamanak (H Zh.) daily reported.     

“US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern told this to H. Zh.

“The OSCE MG [Minsk Group] co-chairs underscore this Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting especially against the backdrop of the intensive ceasefire violation and the escalating border tension in recent times. 

“For a long time, however, Ilham Aliyev rejects the proposal for a meeting. Instead, Azerbaijan opens intense fire in the direction of Armenia’s border villages and sends saboteurs to NKR [the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic],” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
