YEREVAN. – In autumn, the Armenian authorities plan to make amendments in the National Assembly (NA) Regulation Law, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“According to Zhoghovurd’s well-informed sources, the package of bills, whereby they will attempt to eliminate those loopholes which the opposition usually uses, are being prepared in the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

“On the other hand, according to our sources, the privileges specified for the [NA] opposition factions, when three persons each from the opposition factions are given the opportunity to speak during the ‘statements hour’ and the questions and answers with the government, will remain in the regulation.

“And this is [done] not to create an impression that they are fighting against the opposition,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
