YEREVAN. – Chorrord Ishkhanutyun daily has learned that well-known Russian Regnum news agency is going to change the entire editorial staff of its office in Armenia, the daily reported.

“The agency’s former chief editor Modest Kolerov has returned to his previous status and, consequently, the same changes will take place, with a chain reaction, with Regnum’s ‘distributers’ in some countries.

“This [change in staff] happened pretty quickly especially in Armenia.

“Actually, Regnum’s owner has changed, and the well-known agency, which is considered the mouthpiece of Kremlin, now belongs to [Russian natural gas giant] Gazprom [company].

“[But] it is not yet known who will be the [new] Armenia journalists and especially the [chief] editor of the agency,” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun wrote.
