YEREVAN. – According to the reliable information which Haykakan Zhamanak daily has received, well-known Russian-Armenian businessman, Tashir Group proprietor Samvel Karapetyan has expressed a desire to buy Armbusinessbank of Armenia, and he already has taken steps in that direction, the daily reported. 

“[But] the details of the planned purchase deal are not yet known. To note, problems had arisen in Armbusinessbank since 2013.

“As for Samvel Karapetyan, he has been making quite major investments in Armenia in recent years, and engagement in the banking system will become a logical continuation of his business activities,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
