YEREVAN. – Armenia’s decision was a shock for Brussels, since it decided overnight to join the [Russia-led] Eurasian Economic Union.   

Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation Director Jan Piekło expressed the aforesaid view speaking to Aravot daily, the latter reported.

“Jan Piekło noted that he visited Armenia and got the impression that, overall, the [country’s] civil society is not happy with this accession.

“In the Polish figure’s view, [however,] leaving Armenia all alone in this situation will be the most incorrect approach. On the contrary, it is necessary to find new areas and formats of cooperation,” Aravot wrote.
