YEREVAN. – Zhamanak daily has learned that it was decided to reject Armenia’s application that was submitted to the Office of the Millennium Challenge (MC) Corporation, the daily reported.

“Speaking to Zhamanak, Millennium Challenge Account-Armenia’s former member of the Board of Trustees and, subsequently, of the Board of Beneficiaries, HCA [i.e., Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly] Vanadzor Office Director Artur Sakunts explained what the factors were for the MC office’s rejection of the application of Armenia.   

“Sakunts noted that Armenia does not meet any international standard by its foreign policy, conduct, [and] its decisions, because of which it is rejected by the office,” Zhamanak wrote.
