YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) convened a snap session on Saturday deciding to invite head of the International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES) Armenia Office and International expert Center for Electoral Systems (ICES) NGOs to monitor the May 6 parliamentary elections.

Besides, the CEC recognized invalid the registration of MP candidates Hayk Sultanyan, Hayk Barsamyan, Karen Smbatyan and Susanna Abrahamyan on majority system and Narine Mirzoyan on proportional system, based on their withdrawal applications. 

Narine Mirzoyan is a director, wife of the member of Sardarapat initiative Tigran Khzmalyan.
