YEREVAN. – Money is nothing, the actions are important. People know very well where the truth comes from, no matter how much money the authorities spend, people first of all are interested in the true speech, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) coordinator Levon Zurabyan said at the rally in the Liberty Square on Friday.

According to him, ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) representatives decided not to participate in a TV dispute with the ANC, as they will be defeated.

“I would like to speak about a person, a young oligarch, whom I may call the last hope for the authorities. That person has never delivered public speeches, or dealt with politics. He is not much spoken of, yet he is the most dangerous oligarch. That person is the incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan’s son-in-law Mikael Minasyan,” Zurabyan said. “He is the one who controls much of the TV channels, orders social surveys, which aim to persuade the society and the international community in false description on the political configuration in Armenia. Those surveys claim that the RPA occupies first place, while the ANC has a very little support among population.”

Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.

ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
