UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that measures must be taken against “malicious actors” following a knife attack in the Golders Green area, Sky News reports.
He held an emergency meeting with police, the mayor of London, and government officials. Starmer described the incident as “horrific” and linked it to a rise in antisemitic attacks, pledging to strengthen protection for the Jewish community.
The prime minister also stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of extremism and announced increased funding for the Community Security Trust (CST).
As a result of the April 29 attack, two people were injured and the suspect was detained.
